The Board of eircom notes the position that BCM outlined earlier this week in a letter to its shareholders about BCM’s future, and the previous announcement from BCM in relation to the TaemasBridge proposal led by Rob Topfer.

eircom does not support the TaemasBridge proposal and this was clearly set out in a statement issued by eircom last week.

eircom is confident that a different solution can be put in place which is in the best interests of all stakeholders in the company, including the shareholders in BCM, and which secures eircom’s long term future. eircom will work with its shareholders (BCM and the ESOT) to achieve this objective and is appointing independent advisers to assist eircom with this process.
