(Issued 31 March 2009) eircom announced today that Mr Nicky Hartery and Mr Andrew Day have been appointed as Non-Executive Directors to the eircom Board.
Most recently, Mr Hartery was Executive Vice President of Dell Computers EMEA, a role he held since 2000 until 2008. He has been a senior Non-Executive Director at CRH since 2004. Previously Mr Hartery has held senior positions in Eastman Kodak, and the Verbatim Corporation. Nicky began his career at General Electric, formerly the EI Company in Shannon.
Mr Day was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Babcock & Brown Capital in February 2009. He has extensive telecommunications and print & online media experience having spent almost 25 years with Telstra Corporation Limited in a number of senior executive divisional head positions including more than six years as Chief Executive Officer of Sensis Pty Ltd. Most recently, Andrew was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Truvo Services B.V., a cross European local directories and search company with operations in a number of European countries including Ireland.
