Sporting Fingal boosted their title hopes when a first half blitz of goals gave them victory over second-placed Waterford United at Morton Stadium.

Fiachra McArdle netted a third a minute before the interval but the visitors hit back within two minutes of the restart with Darren Warren's header.
Substitute Willie-John Kiely compounded the Blues' woes by seeing his 79th minute penalty easily saved by Brendan Clarke.
